Why get someone else to print your business cards when you can nip down to the basement like a hobbit and get to work using your very own Adana 8 x 5 press?  Here we present our current run of limited edition, letterpressed business cards, using our homemade patterns to the front and bespoke typesetting to the reverse.

Bean: The Bristol Coffee Map, was a studio project in celebration of coffee, Bristol and the art of print design. Working with a small team of coffee aficionados, we spent 9 months touring Bristol’s cafés and meeting the city’s talented baristas. The final result a beautiful illustrated piece of tactile print.

The map itself is lithographically printed by Zone in silver and over-silk screened in turquoise. It’s produced on Crush Coffee 120gsm, a stock from Fenner Paper that uses post industrial waste from the coffee making process. Pretty cool huh?!

The project was illustrated in collaboration with talented local illustrator Naomi Wilkinson.

We designed this series of limited edition prints to celebrate the achievements of the world’s greatest athletes.  Created to coincide with the London 2012 Olympic Games, we stumbled across this almost textile-like, pixelated approach via a fortuitous accident when preparing files for screen printing.

You can view and buy the full set of prints here, and read what Design Week had to say about the work here.

A nice bit of type design that Sam whittled into a wooden gift for Jess’s birthday.

‘The Pathfinder’ is a comic produced by Studio Baum depicting the story of one man’s journey to seek the origins of the designer style.  A bit of guff, really, but it was fun to make.
